National Ecological Centre of Ukraine is seeking a National Coordinator for CEE Bankwatch Network

The Kiev-based non-profit organisation National Ecological Centre of Ukraine (NECU) is seeking a full-time employee to work as the Ukrainian National Coordinator for CEE Bankwatch Network.

CEE Bankwatch Network, established in 1995, is a firmly established international environmental organisation with member groups throughout Central and Eastern Europe and is a member of the Green 10 NGO coalition. Bankwatch?s mission is to prevent environmentally and socially harmful impacts arising from international development finance, and to promote alternative solutions and public participation.

The Ukrainan National Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of the existing Bankwatch workplan in Ukraine and for the development of new initiatives in line with this position within NECU and Bankwatch.

The ideal candidate should:

- have a good knowledge of environmental issues, especially those related to energy and transport;

- have excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral) and Ukrainian;

- have a basic knowledge of the international financial institutions (IFIs), e.g. the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development and the European Investment Bank, as well as the European Union?s funding programmes;

- be ready to travel;

- be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job description:

- monitoring the activities of the IFIs within Ukraine and, where relevant to the workplan, in other countries;

- investigating selected projects that receive funding from the IFIs and ensuring proper public participation and environmental and social standards;

- working with the media in order to increase awareness about IFI activities;

- communicating with the IFIs on policies and project related issues;

- coordinating campaigns with Ukrainian NGOs;

- communicating and reporting on activities to the international Bankwatch network;

- conducting research and analysis on issues required as part of campaigning.

The position of Ukrainian National Coordinator is full-time and would suit self-motivated applicants who enjoy working in a team. The coordinator will be based at NECU office in Kiev. We are seeking multi-year cooperation.

Ну платять там мабуть доф?га ) бо "work under pressure and meet deadlines" мало хто полюбля? ) Особливо дедлайнс ))

А от з IFIs взагал? н?коли не зустр?чався, хоча не думаю, що там щось дуже страшне

Думаю той хто ма? економ?чну осв?ту, шарить ?нгл?ш та ма? сильний характер (бо IMHO там спочатку буде дуже важко) може спок?йно слати сво? CV
